Michael Bluestein
On September 25 , 2021 ForBadges held a Michael Bluestein Memorial Bike/Walk in Ventura,CA to honor our co-founder. Michael established For Badges in 1999 along with Steve Getzoff with the mission of helping LAPD officers and their families with funds as they make their way through traumatic times. Many family and friends showed up to cycle the coast ( Michael’s favorite ride) or walk the streets of Ventura. His memory lives on through those he touch so graciously with that ever present smile.

October was National First Responders Month.
In recognition of their service, ForBadges was honored to present two $1000 grants to
First Responders on October 29, 2021.
For heroism and commitment to our community, ForBadges presented a check for $1000 to this Los Angeles Fire Department Hero.
ForBadges celebrated the day with a second $1000 grant presented to this Los Angeles Police Department Hero in honor of his courage.
These grants go towards helping First Responders and their families with much needed support.
